Why We Built Velflow
We've been following the modern AI arc since the early days when an unassuming group out of UofT smashed image recognition benchmarks using a neural network trained on consumer GPU cards. By 2017, deep learning and CNNs were everywhere in the research community, and rapidly being adopted into industry applications. Software 2.0 was born. Novel architectures and applications were being developed at a rapid pace, and the semiconductor industry responded with a steady YoY increase in relevant compute power. What would become the chatgpts and groks of today quickly evolved from amusing but largely incoherent text generators to the powerful systems we see today - software 3.0.
Having been along for this ride, we've seen what this technology can do to add real value across industries—from manufacturing and industrial processes to healthcare, logistics, and financial services. We know what businesses need and understand the technical foundations required to deliver it.
So we built Velflow.
What Velflow Actually Does
Velflow is our internal framework for deploying AI agents that can handle multi-step workflows intelligently. Instead of simple chatbots that respond to questions, these agents can monitor systems, analyze data, make decisions, and take actions across multiple platforms.

And here's another crucial insight: end-users of AI agents aren't just interacting with LLMs—they're "programming" them on-the-fly in the Software 3.0 paradigm. Our job is to use the best of Software 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 to make this programming interface feel intuitive and natural. Velflow enables us to easily break down complex business problems into reliable agents that leverage the best of both worlds: the creativity and adaptability of generative AI combined with the predictability and consistency of traditional software logic. This balance is crucial when deploying agentic systems in production environments where reliability matters.
